Teenagers

Today has been a good day, till the kids come home from school.. All three of them went to school today. So Rick and I went to the gym this morning. The day was good until Richard got 30 minutes ago lol.. First thing he does is start asking questions about something he knows nothing about but I tell you, He thinks he knows EVERYTHING about ALL THINGS. I guess your typical teenage boy for you.  He comes to the book shelf and grabs to Tolkien books. Starts asking Rick questions before even thinking about reading the books..  This turns into a long heated argument over something Richard swears  HE IS RIGHT ON.  Now Rick is a big Tolkien / Middle Earth Fan. Has read all the books, owns the movies and all for Lord of The Rings and will for The Hobbit as well. He has done his research when it comes to Tolkien and Middle Earth. Richard sometimes I wish would get the concept and understand the point that he is NOT always right. I am guessing that will not happen anytime soon. He is 14 going on  24. He is a nightmare, when it comes to anything he does not want to do..  He drives me absolutely crazy when it comes to that. He yells when he talks. I guess he thinks no one can hear him. He refuses to listen when you tell him to do something or complains.  I know your typical teenage boy. He is going to learn real fast that life is not sugar coated.  He is just like most typical teenage kids, Well in some cases Adults to who think they Things should come to them on a silver platter. Why they think that way I have no clue. He has yet to realize that it takes money to do anything that you want. To keep his phone it takes money, To play video games he likes you need money.

Well that is my rant for today.. Happy Blogging and thanks for reading

  1. I completely understand this post. My son is 8 and I swear I am already dealing with one. Right now I am trying to explain to him that there are consequences in life for decisions made. It is going to take some time :)
Thanks for sharing and hopefully today will be better ??? :)

  2. Jillian, Thank you for the comments. It seems to be all kids no matter what age they are really. This morning my youngest is right in their with my oldest about things. Getting mad at me because her home work was never done. She knew she had home work but insisted on playing around
I am hoping today ends better than it is starting

  6. Well I'm totally not there yet, but will be one day for sure as I have two little boys. My oldest is three. Good luck in teaching him finances. I'm sure a little "money earning" lesson like an allowance might help a little?
